About Us

Dr. Lain Lye, ND

Partner. Collaborator. Loving Guide.

Because health isn’t just about feeling better — it’s about living more fully.

Amplify your health. Amplify your life.

Dr. Lain Lye is a licensed naturopathic doctor whose passion for medicine grew from deeply personal roots: walking alongside her mother through a cancer journey. As her mother underwent chemotherapy and radiation, she also leaned into traditional medicine and herbal wisdom, modeling an integrative approach that treated not just disease, but the whole person. Witnessing this firsthand, Dr. Lye came to believe deeply in the body’s innate ability to heal — and in the essential role each person plays in their own healing journey.

Today, Dr. Lye considers it an honor to empower patients in pursuing their best health. Grounded in nutrition, herbal medicine, and lifestyle practices, she blends science and soul in her work. She has also shared her expertise as a clinical supervisor, teaching the art and science of medicine at her alma mater, Bastyr University.

With a love for hands-on care, Dr. Lye specializes in IV therapy and injections. She sees each IV session as more than a treatment — it’s a chance to slow down, listen, and partner with her patients. One of her most cherished patients is her 97-year-old grandmother, to whom she still administers IVs — a quiet act of generational care that reflects her gentle skill and enduring compassion.

Dr. Lye brings particular insight to hormonal health, digestive concerns for both men and women, preventive and precision health often trialing protocols herself before recommending them. Her personal, empathic approach stems from her own experiences navigating the healthcare system and discovering that wellness isn’t about masking symptoms — it’s about uncovering root causes.

Though she once planned to become a pharmacist, working as a pharmacy technician revealed a deeper calling. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine, she went on to study naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University in San Diego.

Now rooted in San Diego, Dr. Lye enjoys beach days, foodie adventures, and long walks with her beloved dog Aiko — often introducing patients and friends to the beauty of the city she calls home.

At the heart of her work is a simple mission: to listen deeply, care fully, and help amplify your health so you can amplify your life.

Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic medicine refers to a system of primary care medicine that focuses on uncovering the underlying cause of illness. Using functional lab testing in combination with the patient's history, we aim to understand each person's ailments in order to come up with an individualized treatment plan. We provide personalized care for each patient, using a variety of tools, including botanical (herbal) blends, nutrition, nutraceuticals, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, physical medicine, and more.

Naturopathic doctors are trained as primary care doctors who graduated from an accredited naturopathic medical school. Their curriculum includes botanical, homeopathic, clinical nutrition, physical medicine, lifestyle counseling in addition to pharmaceuticals.  ND's are able to diagnose, treat, prevent and manage acute and chronic dis-eases. Naturopathic doctors help the patient in restoring their health and supporting the innate healing process of the body by focusing on the root cause of the ailment.
